Help in the bushes are pleased to announce the changing of our format for the adhoc events diary which now allows event organiser to include a photo/poster plus a new action button to take potential customers to their website. In The old format there were limitations on the number of events visible at one time per month, our new format now shows all listed events.
As a website run by the community for the community we do not charge for event listings as we want to support our local events across East Surrey. If you want to email us details of an event you are organising please email webmaster@helpinthebushes.co.uk for your completely free listing.
Whilst we are focusing on the following listing on smaller groups our community centres and the YMCA both host a wide range of clubs, activities and groups that may be of interest.
Visit Surrey is also a great reference point to events across the entire county.
Due to the vast array of events, clubs, activities and groups they offer and the constantly growing list of events please visit their sites for even more events.
Our local community centres are a hive of activity please see the link for the full schedules of regular events at the Reigate & Banstead Council run centres at Horley, Woodhatch and Banstead.

At our community centres we are passionate about wellbeing, we offer an extensive range of activities.
Some of the activities we offer include fitness and relaxation classes for all abilities, art and craft sessions, children’s activities as well as a range of fun activities such as bowls, bingo card games and table tennis!

Come join Max Burt, the Reigate & District Snooker League secretary, for a night of free Snooker across four tables.
We are looking to form several new snooker teams to join the league and represent our club, Spots & Stripes.
- The league starts in October so there's plenty of time to get involved and meet local Snooker players.
- The night will be a good opportunity to play against other players and meet new local snooker players
- We want players regardless of your level, all comers are welcome
- The minimum number of players per team is 3, but ideally, you we want 4 or 5 players per team to cover unavailability on particular nights.
- The league plays every Wednesday. Venues include The Woldingham Club, South Park, Monson Club, Frames Coulsdon & The Comrades Club.

The BBQ’s at the lake take place on a Saturday afternoon giving you time for a dive in the morning. We provide sausages and/or burgers FOC to divers and club members and you are welcome to bring your own food. For non-members and non-divers we ask for a £10 donation to our preferred charity the Shark Trust which you can pay on the day.

We LOVE Run Reigate - in 2024, there's a Kids Race, 5k, 10k, or Half Marahon. We'll be there on the day - we'd love to have a team from our local community raising money for the hospital.

Staff at East Surrey Hospitals Emergency Department are hosting the 4th annual Charity football match against SECAmb [South East Coast Ambulance Service] to raise money for the charity CALM, in loving memory of our friend and colleague Dimi.
The match will be held at Redhill Fc on 11th October 2024. Gates open at 6pm and kick off will be at 19:45.
£5 entry person which can be paid for via a donation to our Just giving page prior to the event. If you pay your entry this way please do not donate anonymously and put + ticket in your comment so we can see who has paid for entry in advance. £5 entry on the gate is also available.
Food and drinks are available from the clubhouse.
There will be a raffle on the night with some wonderful prizes available, full list of prizes to be confirmed. Tickets are £1 per strip, again available in advance by donating with your name + number of tickets or on the night.
If easier, money can be sent to me and I will donate in total after the event as done previously with cash from the night.
