Notice of M23 closures for re-surfacing from National Highways
We’ll soon be carrying out essential resurfacing works to the M23 between junctions 8-10 in both directions. This will maintain safety and improve the journey for road users, while reducing the need for unplanned closures.
To carry out the works safely we’ll need to close the M23 in various locations between junctions 8 – 10 overnight, including lane closures between the hours of 9pm to 4am and 9pm to 5am.
Closures Information:
M23 junction 9 – 10
(including M23 junction northbound entry slip)
• 3 June for three nights (9pm to 5am)
• 10 June for five nights (9pm to 5am)
• 17 June for three nights (9pm to 5am)
M23 junction 10
• 20 June for two nights (9pm to 4am)
• 24 June for four nights (9pm to 4am)
• 1 July for four nights (9pm to 4am)
• 9 July for three nights (9pm to 4am)
M23 junction 9 northbound entry slip
• 8 July for one night (9pm to 5am)
Lane closures information:
M23 junctions 8 – 9
• 6 June for two nights (9pm to 5am)
M23 junctions 9 – 8
• 12 July for one night (9pm to 5am)
• 15 July for five nights (9pm to 5am)
Diversions:
M23 junction 9 – 10
(including M23 northbound junction 9 entry slip)
Traffic to exit at junction 9 Gatwick, head towards airport way, use Longbridge roundabout to turn around onto London Road, then use A2011 eastbound to rejoin M23 at J10 Crawley Interchange
M23 junction 10
Traffic diverted up and over at junction 10 Crawley Interchange to rejoin M23.
M23 junction 9 northbound entry slip
Traffic to head southbound towards junction 10, to turn around at junction 10 Crawley Interchange to rejoin the M23 northbound carriageway.
This week changes were made to the way Surrey County Council are reporting roadworks.Help on the bushes are currently speaking to SCC to see if we can get the photo lists they previously supplied.
