Where to vote

Generally speaking there is a high probability that the polling station would be the Whitebushes Village hall on the junction of Three Arch Road and Masons Bridge Road but please remember to check your voting card carefully in case you have a different polling station and ensure you have acceptable ID to vote. If you are driving to the polling station there is a car park at the Whitebushes village hall but please exercise caution entering and exiting as it is on a bend and therefore the sight lines are not ideal.

If walking to the Whitebushes village hall there is a footpath from by the playground running alongside the common to the pedestrian gate into the village hall complex - this has easy access to both ends of Bushfield Drive, Kiln Walk including the community garden.

East Surrey Council (unitary authority)

Following the election on 7th May 2026 there will be 2 councillors for each ward on the new East Surrey Council which as from 1st April 2027 will take over the running of services currently provided by:

- Surrey County Council

- Reigate & Banstead Borough Council

- Tandbridge District Council

- Mole Valley District Council

- Epsom & Ewell Borough Council

- Elmbridge Council

These existing organisations will continue to cover their current areas of responsibility for the overlap period until the end of March 2027.

During the overlap period councillors on the new unitary authority will be working with the existing councils to provide as smooth a transition between the current local and county council set up to the new council which will be handling more issues from start to finish removing the question of which authority is responsible for which services.

All casework should at this time be directed to your Borough or County Councillors for your ward. Neha and Robin will take over responsibility for casework on 1st April 2027 and along with all the recently elected East Surrey Council Councillors are focusing on the setting up of the new unitary council at this time to aid a smooth transition.
