The former Reigate and Banstead Borough Council community development worker for Whitebushes, Ashling Byrne identified getting the falling to pieces planters replaced as a project to help improve the space. Ashling working with Borough Councillor Ruth Ritter applied for funding to make this happen. Councillor Ritter then engaged the community to get involved in the gardening.
Through the hard work by the community, supported by the current community development worker Charlie Griswood and our local councillors, this has continued to be a thriving community garden.
We invite you to come and join us at Kiln Community Garden located at Kiln Walk, Whitebushes, on the first Saturday of the month between 10:00 & 12:00 to continue to maintain this great community asset.
Contact details on poster bellow if you would like further information.
